Chalk paint by L'Authentique x Casa Gitane is a water-based, mineral paint with velvety appearance. The addition of chalk and the finest pigments in the paint give your home an authentic look. L'Authentique chalk paint can be used on both walls and wood. The colours cover very well and dry very matt. If desired, L'Authentique x Casa Gitane chalk paint can be thinned with water.

How to use
Walls:
The substrate must be free of grease and dust. Treat newly plastered walls first with a primer according to regulations. You can apply the chalk paint with a roller or brush. A roller gives your walls a matt, even appearance. By applying the chalk paint with a long-haired brush, you get a streaky result. This emphasises the rustic look of the chalk paint.

Wood:
The surface must be grease- and dust-free. We recommend first treating wooden furniture with a white spirit-based primer. Then lightly sand the surface and apply the chalk paint with a brush in one or two layers. If desired, you can finish a surface subject to wear with a sealer.
